We Started This Because We’ve Seen What Happens When Families Are Left to Figure It Out Alone
Tacoma Probate Help exists because probate and estate transitions are hard enough without also having to navigate a confusing maze of professionals, processes, and decisions — often while grieving.
We’re a local Pierce County family who has spent years working in real estate and estate transitions alongside families navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives. We’ve sat across the table from families who didn’t know what probate was, who didn’t know they could sell an inherited property, who didn’t know they had options. That experience is what built this.
For most services — probate attorneys, estate clean-out teams, senior transition specialists, contractors, and storage — we act as a free referral and guidance service, connecting you with vetted local professionals we trust personally.
When it comes to real estate, we play a more direct role — and we want to be upfront about that from the start.
Our Real Estate Role — Full Transparency
Mike and Debralee Slusher are licensed real estate agents who can list and sell inherited properties on your behalf. In some situations, our affiliated company Think3RE may also be in a position to make a direct cash offer.
We’ll always be transparent about which role we’re playing. We’ll present your options honestly — including whether listing on the open market is likely to get you more than a direct offer — and let you decide what’s right for your family. We never pressure and we never steer.
Your interests come first. That’s not a marketing line — it’s how we’ve built our reputation in Pierce County.
A Family Business
Tacoma Probate Help is run by Mike and Debralee Slusher — a husband and wife team with deep roots in Pierce County. We built this because we believe families in difficult situations deserve honest local guidance, not a faceless referral list.
- We never charge families for referrals or guidance
- We only refer to professionals we’d trust with our own family
- We don’t push — you decide what’s right for your situation
- We follow up to make sure the connection was the right fit

Mike Slusher
Founder & Licensed Agent · Tacoma, WA
Mike grew up at McChord AFB and has called Pierce County home his entire life. He holds a degree in Management and Finance from the University of Washington and spent years as a licensed real estate agent helping families navigate probate, inherited property, foreclosure, and major life transitions.
He knows firsthand what it feels like to not know where to turn. During the 2008 financial crisis, Mike navigated significant financial hardship himself — losing properties he’d worked hard to build. That experience didn’t weaken his commitment to real estate. It deepened his empathy for every family who sits across from him in a difficult moment.
Outside of work, Mike coaches youth sports, attends Champions Centre in Tacoma, and spends time with his family on the beaches of Westport.
“I understand the anxiety and stress when you need to sell or just don’t know where to start. That’s exactly why we built Tacoma Probate Help.”
Debralee Slusher
Family Coordinator & Licensed Agent · Tacoma, WA
Raised in Tacoma by her grandmother, Debralee graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to earn a Pre-Law degree from the University of Washington Tacoma — a foundation that gives her a clear-eyed understanding of the legal landscape families face during estate proceedings, without crossing into legal advice.
She brings 20+ years of customer service experience — including managing a high-volume finance processing department — to every family conversation. As a licensed real estate agent, she has guided families through some of the most consequential decisions of their lives. She takes that responsibility seriously.
When she’s not working with families, Debralee is cooking, hiking, heading to the coast, or watching her sons compete in sports.
“Knowing I’m helping someone through one of the hardest moments of their life isn’t just rewarding — it makes me want to be better at this every single day.”

Real Estate — Handled Directly by Mike & Debralee
When inherited property is involved, Mike and Debralee handle this directly as licensed agents. No separate referral needed — and no obligation to list. If a cash offer through Think3RE makes more sense for your situation, we’ll tell you that too and let you decide.
Why Local Experience Is the Only Kind That Counts Here
Probate in Washington State runs through Pierce County Superior Court. Inherited properties have specific local market dynamics. Estate clean-out teams who know Tacoma neighborhoods work differently than national services.
Mike and Debralee have spent their careers working in Pierce County — not just working here, but living here, attending church here, coaching youth sports here, and raising their family here. The professionals in their network aren’t names pulled from a database. They’re people the Slushers have worked alongside, referred families to, and personally vetted over years.
That’s a different kind of referral. And in a situation as personal as probate and estate work, that difference matters.
They know Pierce County Superior Court
The probate attorneys in our network file cases at Pierce County Superior Court regularly. They know the clerks, the timelines, and the local procedural nuances that affect your case.
They know the local real estate market
Inherited property values in Tacoma, Puyallup, and Lakewood require local market knowledge. Mike and Debralee bring that directly — and they’ll give you an honest read on what your property is worth before any decision is made.
They know the neighborhoods
Estate clean-out specialists who know University Place work differently than those who primarily operate in Spanaway. We match families to professionals who know their specific corner of Pierce County.
